This Chrome Plated Gravure Steel Embossing Roller is built for gravure coating, laminate coating, flexography and gravure printing processes where a mirror smooth, wear resistant surface directly controls coating weight and print quality. The roller body is manufactured from 45# seamless steel pipe or alloy steel that passes through welding, stress relieving, tempering and quenching heat treatment stages, which creates a stable cylindrical core capable of holding precise tolerances at production speeds.

A dedicated gravure cell pattern, mesh count and cell depth are machined and engraved according to the coating material, coating amount, base substrate and line speed of your process, so the roller delivers the exact transfer volume your application requires. After engraving, the complete surface is hard chrome plated and polished to a mirror finish, which lowers the friction between the doctor blade and the roller face, extends blade life and makes routine cleaning faster because coating residue releases more easily from the dense plated surface. Roller cleaning without solvent is also supported, which reduces chemical consumption and improves workshop safety.

Gravure rollers of this type are used on coating and printing lines for flexible packaging film, paper, aluminum foil, wallpaper, transfer paper and decorative laminate. Common process roles include gravure coating of adhesives and lacquers, laminate coating for film to film and film to foil bonding, flexographic inking and gravure printing of repeat designs.

The roller is equally suitable for surface embossing duties on plastic sheet, leather imitation products and non-woven materials where a smooth, polished face is required to avoid marking the web. Because the cell geometry is defined from your process data, the same roller construction can be configured for fine decorative printing or for heavy coating transfer on industrial lines, and spare rollers can be reproduced from the stored engraving program whenever a replacement is needed.

Rollers are protected with anti-rust oil and multilayer film wrapping, then packed in sturdy wooden crates with foam cradles that prevent any contact damage during long distance shipping. Each unit is supplied with material certificates, hardness test records, dimensional inspection reports and a run-out check certificate.
